Concept 6 - Visionary

My concept is aimed to people who who have slight visual impairment, people who lose their glasses frequently, or for people who always seem to leave their glasses at home. It has been designed to be simplistic for users yet very effective. It aims to help people in their day to day lives and works with augmented reality. Say if you was in a restaurant with a low-lit setting and you left your reading glasses, you would be able to use the app, take a picture of the menu and have the app speak the words to you. The fact that AR is implemented within this app means it is really versatile and will be able to help lots of peoples lives.  Hatchful. (2018).  Hatchful | Your digital logo designer . Collaborative Consumption and Gamification

The history of commons is a historical concept which has been around for a long time. The term was frequently mentioned by Garrett Hardin, an American   ecologist and philosopher . His text 'The Tragedy of the Commons', 1968, it was a piece written to focus and highlight the rapid increase in the population and the effects it would have on the world. "The population problem can not be solved in a technical way, any more than can the problem of winning the game of tick-tack- toe. " (Hardin 1968). He is addressing the facts of their future. In 2018 the world is struggling to cope with the growing population and Hardin wrote in 1968 that the problem of the commons is that it couldn't be solved. The modern day commons is the integration into the new creative industries, some included within the sharing economy.  In todays industry there are thousands of aspiring artists who want their work to be seen. Sharing their creations over social media or uploading on websi...

Collective Intelligence: Human Centered Design, Teaching & Learning with Machines

Photo by  Erik Möller  The relation between humans and robots relates to the dystopia and utopia of how robots have been represented and our thoughts surrounding this case. Robots are anthropomorphic in a sense, depending on their use. The idea of robots being beneficial in the work place was first sourced around 320 BC. It was then brought into reality years later by Leonardo da Vinci in 1496, plans and sketches were made for a robot. These plans included mechanical automation that could allow movement. Due to the plans and drawings being in a human like form, this has been an early step into why we portray robots in the way that we do today.  An idea by philosopher Aristotle proves we have a difficult relationship towards robots. He states; " If every tool, when ordered, or even of its own accord, could do the work that befits it… then there would be no need either of apprentices for the master workers or of slaves for the lords...
